Green Bay at Detroit (Thursday, 12:30 pm FOX)

The Packers (7-3 O/U) have put up 33 points or more in each of their past four NFL betting victories as they continue to lead the league in scoring (35.5 points per game). Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is passing for an average of almost 305 yards per game, which ranks third in the NFL, while the Green Bay defense is allowing almost 290 passing yards per game, which ranks second-last in the league.

The Lions (7-3 O/U) exploded for 49 and 45 points respectively in winning two of their past three games, sandwiched around a loss at Chicago in which QB Matthew Stafford completed 33 of his 63 passing attempts for 329 yards - but threw four costly picks. Detroit ranks third overall in scoring (30.1 points per game) and eighth in passing yards (272.4 yards per game), while the defense ranks 19th in the league in allowing points at almost 22 per game.

The OVER is 4-0 in Green Bay's past four games, and 9-4 overall in its past 13 games in November. The OVER is 6-1 in Detroit's past seven games as a home underdog, and 16-6-1 in its past 23 games overall.

This game should get the Thanksgiving Day tripleheader off to a rousing start before 65,000 screaming Lions fans in perfect conditions at Ford Field, and Detroit determined to hand Green Bay its first loss of the season. They'll have to keep pace on the scoreboard in order to do that, and neither defense seems likely to stop either offense.

New England at Philadelphia (Sunday 4:15 pm FOX)

The Patriots (5-5 O/U) appear to be rolling again, erupting for a combined 71 points in winning their past two games by at least three touchdowns in NFL betting results. Tom Brady and the offense ranks second overall in total yards (426.7 per game) and passing yards (315.7 per game), and fourth in the league in scoring at almost 30 points per game. On defense the Pats rank dead last in both total yards (404.2 per game) and passing yards (299.5 per game).

The Eagles (5-5 O/U) got 258 passing yards and a pair of touchdowns from a rusty Vince Young last week in knocking off the division-rival Giants in a result that preserved their longshot playoff hopes for another week. Michael Vick could return to start at home against the Pats, and RB DeSean Jackson is expected to play despite suffering a foot injury last week. The Eagles lead the league in rushing yards (168.1 per game) and rank third in total yards (415.6 per game), while the defense is allowing more than 21 points per game to rank 17th overall.

The OVER is 21-8 in New England's past 29 games, and 10-4 in its past 14 road games. The OVER is 4-2 in the past six matchups between these two teams, dating back to 1987.

Honorable Mentions

Chicago at Oakland:

With Jay Cutler injured, Caleb Hanie will start for the Bears (6-4 O/U) as they gun for their sixth consecutive victory in NFL betting results. While Chicago has scored at least 30 points in four of those five wins, Hanie has thrown just 14 passes (with eight completions) in three seasons as a backup with the Bears. Nonetheless, Matt Forte is the fourth-leading rusher in the league and place-kicker Robbie Gould has nailed 23 of his 25 field-goal attempts so the Bears should still be able to score some points.

Meanwhile the Raiders (5-5 O/U) have won two straight with Carson Palmer at the helm and boast the league's third-best rushing attack (156.8 yards per game) with Michael Bush filling in admirably for Darren McFadden. The OVER is 5-1 in Chicago's past six games on grass, and this matchup shapes up as a battle of talented running backs punctuated by the occasional downfield scoring bomb. Both teams desperately need a victory to stay in the playoff chase.

N.Y. Giants at New Orleans:
The Giants (5-4-1 O/U) have lost their past two games but remain tied with Dallas atop the NFC East and rank fifth overall in passing yards (281.4 per game). The Saints (5-5 O/U) have won two in a row to take over first place in the NFC South and rank first in the league in passing yards (319.4 per game) and second in scoring (31.3 per game).

Conditions inside the Superdome will of course be perfect for an aerial shootout between Eli Manning and Drew Brees, in this pivotal NFC showdown on Monday Night Football. The OVER is 9-4 in the Giants' past 13 games as an underdog, and 5-1 in their past six games against a team with a winning record. The OVER is 4-0 in New Orleans' past four games following a bye.
